“Simply brilliant… one of the best nights ever… the audience simply didn’t want them to stop…” BBC Radio London

Police Dog Hogan are a high-energy and eclectic eight-piece, combining fiddle, banjo, mandolin, brass, drums and guitars with knockout four-part harmonies in an exuberant fusing of country, pop, folk, and rocking urban bluegrass. The Sunday Times has described them as “wonderful”; the Telegraph named them one of its ‘favourite new bands”; Radio 2 called them “a band to watch” and veteran DJ Johnnie Walker praises their gigs as “a really good, fun time”.

Their funny, literate and superbly crafted songs veer from the wistful and poetic to flat-out, foot-stomping tales of doomed barbecues, French mustard and falling in love on a Tennessee highway. Founded in 2009, the band is now gigging in earnest, buoyed by rapturous receptions at clubs, pubs, theatres and summer festivals. Regular readers of Tim Dowling’s witty column in The Guardian, will know about the trials and tribulations of the band, even if you did not know its name. Tim is the banjo player.

This is going to be a fantastic evening with some exciting music from a lot of great musicians. Buy your tickets and come ready to dance.
